I helped brand and create a set of merchandise for series 3 of Project Contrast. I worked with Maxwell Poth, the founder of Project Contrast and his team.
BRANDING The idea behind the logo was to incorporate the theme of unity and togetherness. The rings in the logo represent the LGBTQ+ rainbow, and the earth. The rainbow imagery circling the half-rings are meant to represent the LGBTQ+ youth. The overall symbol is a minimalistic representation of people holding hands circumnavigating the earth to further show unity.
MERCHANDISE In collaboration dragqueenmerch.com I created a set of illustrations based off of Maxwell’s mantra, “you are loved”. The illustration features a pair of hands and a rainbow (that references the logo) is meant to promote inclusiveness, togetherness and support of the LGBTQ+ community. The typographic “You are loved” was achieved by rounding off an exiting font to give it a more friendly and trusting vibe.

The final outcome of this project is a weeklong gallery opening in LA and a book featuring LGBTQ+ you and their stories.
"Project Contrast was created to share the stories of LGBTQ + youth. Our purpose is to spread their stories so that others in the community know it is possible to overcome personal struggles within their cultural surroundings as queer youth.
We aim to empower young people to become advocates for others in their community. The strength of their stories has created youth groups, advocates, and education about what it is like to be gay where they are from. This is their project. All we do is give them a platform to save lives." - Maxwell Poth, Project Contrast Founder & CEO
